Anas is a Syrian-Canadian vlogger, his wife Asala Maleh is also a famous vlogger. The couple has a lovely daughter Mila. Millions of people started following him on various social media platforms. Anas was thrilled to see ‘Burj Khalifa’ all lit up for his party. He allegedly paid 350,000 United Arab Emirates Dirham for the gender reveal. He shared its pictures and videos. People found Anas to be extremely ostentatious and he received a lot of criticism too. Although his followers were overwhelmed to see the pictures.

Commenting on the pictures, someone said ‘it is ridiculous’. While others believed it to be sheer wastage of money. A lot of them even said that it was staged to gain more followers. All in all, people found him to be inconsiderate and foolish. In his defense, Anas said ‘we wanted to do something special but memorable’. In one of their interviews, the couple denied all the rumors and said they didn’t pay such a huge amount. Well, it sure turned out to be memorable but in a wrong way.

It also reminded people of how a gender reveal party sparked a wildfire in California. As the fire spread over thousands of acres more than 500 firefighters were sent to manage it. It risked the lives of so many living creatures. It was unmanageable. Unfortunately, it also led to the evacuation of 54000 people. And to top it all off it also contributed to the already rising pollution levels. People have started to take these parties too seriously. Everyone wants to stand out. It has become more of a competition than a celebration.

Gender reveal parties are a trend now. This trend was originally started by Jenna Karvunidis back in 2008, she got a simple pink icing cake for her family. Expressing her thoughts on the issue she said, we should keep it low key. She further added such parties require some friends, some cake, and immense happiness nothing else is needed. She even urged people to stop creating such hype about these parties.

One can totally agree with Jeanna, the world is already going through such hard times and people make it worse by being irresponsible which eventually leads to cause a wildfire. Everyone should just try to be more considerate and empathetic.
