Woman’s Clever Advertisement Reunited Her With Stranger She Met At Work Commute
Seattle, 24, updated her Tinder profile with a missed connection and asked him to contact her in an attempt to find him. “I made eye contact and smiled at a guy on bus 70 in November 2019 and again in January 2020, if you’re him, super like, thanks,” it added. As luck would have it, she matched with the man, whose name turns out to be Greg, and he disclosed that he had also seen her – hooray! In his first message, he said, “Okay, this may be embarrassing…but might you be talking about me in your bio?”
She mentioned that she used to take the 70 to Fred Hutch on her way to work. He will never forget his expressions (the super cute redhead with the nose ring). Greg messaged, he thinks they made eye contact once or twice, and if they did, he would have smiled at her! Also, if so, he would love to get a beer or anything and finally meet her. And if not, he would be embarrassed. Seattle responded: “Hahaha, it wasn’t humiliating because it was all for you and I honestly didn’t believe I would ever find you. Hello there, Greg! I’d want to order a drink.” Since then, it appeared that the couple was still dating and that everything was going well. In a subsequent video, the 24-year-old stated: “So here’s Greg’s story: he bought a bus. We made eye contact on the bus in 2019.
The story went on like –In 2019, the bus came to a stop, and he got down, returned to the window, looked directly at her, grinned, and shook his head. She knew she had to find out who this guy was right away. Fast forward two months, she was on the bus again, they made eye contact again, but this time it was at her stop, and she panicked. She didn’t know what to do, so she stepped off the bus and immediately regretted it because she was like, “ugh, I should have talked to this guy.” Before she put anything on her Tinder profile, she thought she would check out Missed Connections. She told so many people about it…like, “how do you meet a guy you’ve never met?” So, she placed it on her Tinder profile, he found her, and they became friends.
She shared that it was 11 hours long, the next date was nine hours, and the next date…another 11 hours. Needless to say, they enjoyed hanging out. That’s how she realized it was going to be more than simply a hangout. People reacted well to her story, with many advising her to read ‘One Day in December’ by Josie Silver. “This is a much healthier version of the plot of the novel One Day in December,” one viewer remarked, “where the main heroine Laurie falls in love with a man she observes through a misted-up bus window.” Another mentioned that this was the most romantic story he had ever heard.
