Mel and her husband Marty were happy with their love-life. The married couple was cherishing the lovely moments of togetherness when Marty got a raise. He began to travel overseas that dug the gorge between the love birds.

Mel began to see the gap widening between them as Marty would either stay out of home for most of the time or evade her at home citing work pressures. He would keep his head dug in his laptop when he would remain at home. One day, he fell asleep with his laptop still on. Mel came in to turn it off when her eyes landed on a troubling message on the screen.

It said, “Miss you, hurry home. xxx”. She took hold of it and investigated the matter. She received blot from the blues when she came to know about his extra-marital affair through the messages. Not just that, he was also set to engage the woman. The thunder strike ran across her.

But she decided to hold her nerves back and forge revenge.

She quietly placed it back. Mel waved off Marty for his another business trip a week later. Then, she contacted a real estate agent and put the house on sale at a low price. She pursued her plan without any bottleneck. The couple had booked the house in her name to leverage the tax benefits. Thus, she managed to get ahead with it without giving a trace to her disloyal husband.

To her delight, a young couple turned up to seal the deal. She opened an account to accommodate half of the earnings from the sale.

The remaining half was to flow into their joint bank account. It did (after six weeks) before the day when her husband was to land at the house.

Sharing her revenge spree, Mel said, “When I smiled and kissed him goodbye a week later, as he went off for another long stint overseas, I knew what I was going to do. The day he left I contacted a real estate agent and told her that I wanted to sell my home fast – for well under market value to ensure an immediate sale”.

Taking on her husband, she shared, “I wasn’t there to see what happened when he arrived home to find strangers living in his house – I was on a cruise with my girlfriends. But I imagine he was pretty surprised that his beloved home now belonged to Josh and Tamara – and they had the paperwork to prove it”.

According to her, “He has since moved to Canada to be with his girlfriend full-time. He hasn’t contacted me to ask about a divorce yet. I say bring it on”.
