This Woman Found Her Love In A Rollercoaster

Living On The Edge By Alice / May, 09, 2025

Ms. Engel said she has been physically attracted to ‘things’ from the time she was a teenage girl. As she became older, she found herself obsessed with roller coasters. When she was 38 years old, the artist started to experience a strong romantic bond with a German ride.

She became attached to the Sky Scream rollercoaster at Holiday Park in Hassloch, Rhineland-Palatinate, a state in the country’ssouthwest. Her fascination with the Sky Scream was so intense that Gaélle began believing that it was true love.

She said that one could say that she was physically drawn to rollercoasters but from the time she met the Sky Scream rollercoaster, she understood what love was. She spent every bit thinking of a carnal and fusional relationship with it.

Gaélle accepted that when it came to dating humans, she has had never been lucky. However, she had three serious relationships in the past. The artist said that she would not speculate that those relationships destroyed her life but it was only suffering, physical and moral.

The men she dated had a lot of problems with alcohol and it gradually became very tough for her to deal with. But with Sky Scream, she felt completely confident. Unfortunately, meeting up with her rollercoaster boyfriend was not an easy task for Gaélle and she was also not able to have any kind of physical relationship with it.

Instead, the artist gathered the objects that depicted him. It was just a reminder of their bond. Some of the items included a picture board of Sky Scream, as well as a cushion printed with a picture of the rollercoaster which apparently, she hugged every single day.

She said that she saw him so rarely but life made her understand that being physical was not a preference in her relationship; especially following the struggles and trials they faced in not being able to see each other.

So, she collected the objects that represent him in order to stay connected to him- the love followed her everywhere. And then of course she had the whole collection of objects she bought from the theme park.

The artist also designed model work of various rollercoasters, including her boyfriend, which was on display around her home. Gaélle was also a painter and a poet and said her dear Sky Scream rollercoaster inspired much of her work.

She added that there were even some models that she made which were totally new inventions, so one could say that they were baby Sky Scream.
