This Man Creates A Tiny Nomad Bicycle Camper Equipped With All The Essentials
You may have seen a few little houses that people build and live in but this tiny house by Paul Elkins is something that has a unique and creative concept. It is not a permanent place to live in, however, this shelter on wheels won’t disappoint at all when you want to spend a night or two alone at a serene place.
This tiny home has been built in such a way that it can also be pulled by a bicycle. That’s how small it is! Elkins has taken care of every element to complete this home. This self-taught creative designer has equipped it with the essential items and areas that a person requires while spending some time inside it.
Elkins has named it a Nomad Bicycle Camper and it moves on 20-inch bicycle wheels. You’ll find proper insulation, a little kitchen space, and a small bed inside it. The miniature kitchen is installed with a one-element stove, a sink, and a few drawers and shelves to put stuff in.
This tiny mobile home cost him $150 to build and design. Elkins worked at Boeing and after he quit his job there, he started working for himself. This talented man found himself pulled towards building tiny designs including tepees, micro boats, and pedal-powered vehicles.
He ensures that all the structures he creates would endure all weather conditions, are lightweight, and convenient to pull around.
Elkins has uploaded the tutorial for constructing such a tiny home on his website and anyone can buy it for $20. He has mentioned that the tutorial consists of written instructions along with drawings and photos to understand better.
Just pick a drill, a conduit blender, and basic hand tools and you are good to go! Of course, you would need a good amount of patience and dedication until you can watch the final structure unfold!
Kirsten Dirksen, filmmaker sat with this genius designer for an interview at Elkins’ Washington home.
Dirksen wrote, “His work is inspiring because he pushes minimalism to an extreme. While his tiny structures are lightweight, weatherproof, and portable they are also functional and include all the essentials. From a tiny house design perspective, his work serves an extreme example that sets the standard for small and outside-the-box thinking.”
Elkins’ idea of building a tiny home has left us craving for some time inside the mobile shelter. Dirksen even uploaded a video of this Nomad Bicycle Camper by Paul Elkins’ on his YouTube Channel.
Tiny homes can be much better and more relaxing at times than a king-size bed in a mansion!
