Masks could be anything like a banana or the one with several superheroes drawn on it. It is up to you if you want to make it a fashion statement or wear it to ensure safety. Above all, you can do both if you want. But it became way more unique when Kelly Painter, a mom from North Carolina shared her post in which she was wearing her kid’s Buzz Lightyear helmet.

Having no other way as a replacement for the Buzz helmet, she had to choose it in the end. She also mentioned going to the grocery store to buy chicken nuggets for her kid. The child also has sensory issues and would refuse to eat anything other than that. Although being familiar with this trip of hers as you might have done the same in your life too, the thing which made this trip unique was the mask she had put on.

In the video she has shared, she can be heard apprising about the conversation she had with her husband. In the end, she brings the shield down in a way that seems to be action-packed. This was just the beginning. Now, she uses the face shield every time she has to go out. Wearing the helmet, she has wandered through McDonald’s, Walmart, gas station, and several other places. And mostly, she had shared the posts of all the trips.

Painter admitted that she’s glad that she can also bring smiles on the faces when she goes out for the errand. She notices how people are so amused to see her this way. They stop by to grab some pictures or capture a video in a very careful way. Moreover, it doesn’t bother her even if someone makes fun of her. As long as everyone seems to be happy amidst this tough situation, she doesn’t find anything uncanny about it.

She admits: “It’s really crazy that people are laughing so hard about it. I think it’s neat that everybody is trying to share the smiles.”
