Couple Had A KFC-Themed Wedding

The reason is that an Australian couple has become the first couple to celebrate their wedding that had a KFC theme. Now, it is still unknown if such a thing ever existed in the past but, for sure, it is the very first of its kind in Australia. It is the usual fact that KFC never falls short when it comes to having a huge fan base. Kate and Harrison Cann from Toowoomba, Queensland had invited over 150 guests at their wedding. The entire decoration was totally based on the KFC theme, and that’s definitely a tribute to this fast-food chain.
It turns out that the couple had been declared the winners of the first-ever KFC official wedding service, KFC proposal. The event was organized in September 2019. The wedding had everything that you long for when KFC comes into your mind, be it KFC buckets, photo booths, a Colonel-style singer, and also a truck for all the guests. For Kate and Harrison, it all started when they both had their first date in KFC back in 2017. Later in 2019, Harrison proposed Kate at Uluru.
Since then, they both wanted to celebrate their precious moment keeping their special bonding with KFC into consideration. Moreover, the other five couples were also selected for the same among the 2,000 entries made at the initial stage. The couple had transcribed the popular TV show “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” song to describe their love for each other and KFC as well. The best thing about the party is that none of the guests including the couple’s friends and families had any idea about the reason for throwing this party. They just contemplated it to be a regular chicken treat.
Despite the funds being provided by KFC for the reception, the couple had to spend their money for the venues, alcohol, and transportation. Besides, the company had also promised to pay for soft-drinks.
Seeming to be elated with the way this wedding was organized, the couple said: “We’re over the moon to have been selected for the first-ever KFC Wedding and having the Colonel present on our big day took us back to the first meal we shared together – KFC! Our friends and family were stunned when they arrived to find out it was actually our wedding day — and not just any wedding but a KFC wedding!”
