The couple purchased their potential home in Rugby, Warwickshire in spring of 2018 to accommodate better living their daughters, Amelia, 12 and Lena, 9. Ewelina recalls that the house required a wall-to-wall makeover considering they just had six weeks to move in. Their efforts added a whopping worth of £45,000 to the property’s value. Healthcare assistant by occupation, Ewelina was quick to take notice of inhospitable condition of the house. During the initial stage of makeover, Ewelina’s helping hands were her daughters.

The couple made sincere efforts to renew the house from top to bottom. Contemporary touches were imposed in every nook and corner of the house, beginning from knocking up vintage blue bathroom to the widening up of space around kitchen, in order to facilitate new age technologies for the convenience of family members. The addition of neutral colors with cool undertones, like teal, beige and pastels was like a breath of fresh air. These seemingly humble interior touches transformed the bigger picture of their home into a chic one.

Technical details of the house were made possible because the basic piping and wiring layout were well laid out. As a result, the floors could be renovated by stripping off the outdated carpet and old wallpapers to replace them with something more high-fashioned. Wooden flooring was laid out which gave a dense and finished look to the house. Bathroom fittings, linoleum flooring along with the costs of plastering and repainting of the entire house were maxed up to£18,000. The tedious task of repainting and additional fittings was jointly done by the couple.

This included £5,300 on new windows and a front door, £2,200 on a boiler, and £3,000 on an IKEA kitchen. Since the past 3 years the unrecognizable house is a home to their loving family who made earnest efforts at furnishing and final touches as well. Ewelina scourged Facebook for cost efficient home accessories like dining table rattan chair and master bed. Przemyslaw even made a sweet DIY coffee table using wooden pallets by following a YouTube tutorial. Subtle use of colors like sour cream completely changed the outlook of bathroom and walls.

Dividing wall between dining room and kitchen was taken down to rehabilitate open space living. This feature was enabled along with a beautiful picture wall behind the dining table. Ewelina invested in some quality products to enhance quality of kitchen appliances. She brought grey units, picture frames and necessary appliances from her bias store Homesense. They customized bedrooms with personal preference in mind. Master bedroom was painted teal. As for their girls Lena and Amelia, rooms were adorned with pale pink with unicorn trinkets and pink floral display, respectively.

Ewelina, 36, feels overwhelmed with pride and joy since she believes that the final look exquisite. She feels emotional since it was their first home and everything seemed perfect due to the amount of diligent efforts put in by her family.
